Abstract

Restoring bidirectional sensorimotor communication in individuals with high spinal cord injury requires simultaneous multi-unit recording and somatosensory microstimulation. We deploy a 1,024-channel intracortical microelectrode array coupled to an ultra-low-power neuromorphic processor. The participant achieved high-precision closed-loop robotic arm manipulation with tactile sensory feedback at 94.2% grasp success rate.
